Who is responsible
This policy concerns https://freelance-guru.com, operated by QUANTROQ LIMITED, company 17491089, at 9 Studio, 50-54 St Paul's Square, Birmingham, United Kingdom, B3 1QS. Contact [email protected] for questions about device storage or tracking.
Read this policy with our Privacy Policy. Cookies are small records stored through your browser; similar technologies can include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. The rules concern the purpose and operation of the technology, not simply whether its name contains “cookie”.
Categories and choices
The live technology register made available through the consent/settings interface must identify each technology actually used, its provider, purpose, category and duration. The categories below describe our permitted operating model, not a statement that every category or any particular vendor is already active.
| Category | Permitted purpose | Choice |
| - | - | - |
| Strictly necessary | Requested login sessions, security, essential transaction continuity and recording privacy choices | Used only where genuinely necessary for the requested service |
| Optional preferences | Non-essential convenience settings beyond the requested function | Disabled until the relevant consent |
| Optional analytics | Measurement and improvement beyond what is strictly necessary | Disabled until the relevant consent under our chosen policy |
| Optional advertising | Advertising measurement, profiling or cross-site tracking | Disabled until specific consent |
| External embedded content | Third-party media or widgets that access a device for non-essential purposes | Blocked or replaced with a consent-controlled alternative until enabled |
We do not identify a technology as strictly necessary simply because it is commercially useful. Provider branding or a security description does not by itself establish an exemption.
Consent controls
When optional technologies are available, visitors must be offered Accept optional, Reject optional and Manage preferences with a clear, comparably accessible choice. Optional categories must not be preselected, and continuing to browse is not treated as consent.
Rejecting optional technologies must not prevent core account, order and payment functions that do not depend on them. Where a requested third-party feature cannot work without optional technology, explain the choice at that feature rather than forcing unrelated tracking.
You must be able to reopen cookie settings from a persistent website link and change your choices. Withdrawal stops future optional use; previously collected data is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable rights.
Consent must be recorded by category and policy version. A material change in optional purposes or recipients requires fresh consent where applicable, not silent reliance on an earlier broad choice.
Lifetimes and third parties
Some technologies expire when a session ends; others persist for a stated period. Exact durations, including those of identifiers stored outside cookies, belong in the live register and must match the technical configuration.
We will not list unverified cookie names or assume that analytics, advertising or a named payment provider is in use. A third-party payment or identity page may have its own notice; we must explain the relevant transition and cannot obtain blanket consent for undisclosed providers.
Local browser controls may block or remove cookies, but essential session functions may then need to be re-established. Browser settings are an additional option, not a replacement for our obligation to provide an appropriate on-site choice.
Contact and updates
Contact [email protected] if you cannot find or use the settings, or suspect optional technology operates before consent. We will investigate and correct discrepancies between the register, notice and actual website.
Before adding a technology, we will assess its purpose, necessity, provider, duration and consent requirements and update the relevant disclosure. ICO guidance explains the need for clear cookie information and consent where applicable.
